Missouri Births
The Webster County Health Unit can print certified copies of Missouri The Webster County Health Unit prints certified copies of Missouri birth certificates for $15.00 each (cash or check). You can obtain birth certificates for births from 1920 to the present.
Only the registrant (the person named on the birth certificate), their relatives up to but not including cousins, a legal guardian of the child, a stepparent, or another legally authorized individual as determined by Missouri Department of Health rules can receive birth certificates.
The average wait time to receive a birth certificate is 5 to 10 minutes. Please be prepared to provide the following information for the birth certificate you want to purchase:
• registrant’s full name at birth
• registrant’s date of birth
• registrant’s place of birth
• mother’s / co-parent’s full maiden name
• father’s / co-parent’s full name
• photo identification for person requesting birth certificate


Missouri Deaths
The Webster County Health Unit provides certified copies of Missouri death certificates to qualified individuals for $14.00 (cash or check) for the first copy and $11.00 for each subsequent copy in the same visit. You can obtain death certificates for deaths occurring from 1980 to the present.
Relatives or third parties with a legal need can receive death certificates. Please be ready to provide the deceased person’s full name and date of death. If you are a third party, you may also need to fill out additional paperwork to receive the death certificate and bring proof of legal need.
Other Vital Records Information
Birth certificates for births before 1920 and death certificates for deaths that occurred before 1980 must be obtained through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) by calling (573) 751-6387.
